At Adecoagro, we are committed to ensuring that every animal lives under optimal conditions. We firmly believe that cow comfort is the foundation of strong productive performance. For this reason, we have been training our dairy teams in Animal Welfare practices.
These training sessions focused on understanding cow behavior and how we can protect and respect their space. We emphasized monitoring ambient temperature, the importance of proper nutrition, and strict compliance with established protocols. In addition, topics such as the pre-calving stage and the weaning process in older cows were also addressed.
At Adecoagro, we strive to provide optimal conditions so that each cow can adapt positively to its environment. Our goal is for every animal to be healthy, comfortable, safe, and well fed. To achieve this, we follow rigorous protocols to ensure our cows have access to water and feed every day of the year. We monitor environmental conditions using a temperature index and continuously improve resting areas. At the same time, we ensure that all animal treatments are carried out by trained personnel and that each procedure is recorded in daily reports and uploaded into a software system that centralizes our entire database.
We are convinced that strong productive performance is achieved through good animal welfare practices.
